November was a month of adjustment for us. Adjusting to the time change. Adjusting to the cooler weather. Adjusting to the snow. We spent a lot of time cuddling on the couch. We watched a little extra TV, made pillow forts, baked and read. We hung out in my mom's kindergarten class a few times. We got together with friends. Ben started gymnastics and ski lessons. All in all, a good month...

Mini Pizza Muffins
Yesterday I made these pizza
muffins (alongside salad and raw vegetables) for a play date. They were a hit! The kids ate them, my friend and I loved them
and Boris came home and finished off the rest.
They were quick and easy to make and will definitely be added to the
rotation in our house from now on.
Mini
Pizza Muffins
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2/3 cup ham, cubed
1/2 cup pizza sauce, for dipping
Preheat oven to 375F.
In a large bowl, whisk
together flour, baking powder, Italian seasoning and salt. Whisk in the milk and egg. Stir in mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese
and ham. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Divide among 24 greased mini-muffin
cups. Bake until puffed and golden, 20 –
25 minutes.
Heat pizza sauce and
serve.

Before Ben's First Ski Lesson
I'm not sure who was more excited about Ben's first ski lesson this morning? Boris and I? My dad? Ben? Nonetheless, he looked pretty darn cute all dressed up, waiting for my dad to arrive. Ben skied for the first time just after his second birthday, but today was his first official lesson. Hope you have lots of fun little man!

The Second One
I have a lot to say about
having a second child. Maybe one day,
I’ll put everything into words. But for
now, this is all I have to say...
When you’re pregnant with
your second child, you wonder how you’ll possibly love your new baby as much as
you loved your first. You wonder if this
new life will fit into your family, if the puzzle pieces will fall into
place. You wonder, and worry, about how your
life will change.
And then they arrive. And they weave their way into your heart and
into your life as if they were there all along.
And all the worries disappear...and new ones form. And once again, just as you did with your
first, you wonder how you ever lived a day without this amazing little being in
your life.
