She Said (First Words)...
Okay, so I’ll admit, I’m a
little envious. Kate is such a mommy’s
girl. And, I’m the one who feeds her an
unlimited supply of milk. And, I’m the
one who gets up with her in the middle of the night and rocks her back to
sleep...sometimes more than once or twice.
Kate has been babbling those sweet sounds every father wants to hear for
a week or two now. But last night, when
Boris got home, Kate looked into his eyes and said:
Kate:

Lunch With Little Ones - Asparagus Soup and Crackers
Last week I made Asparagus Soup for dinner (I used white asparagus instead of green). Ben and I finished off the leftover soup for
lunch throughout the week alongside soda crackers and fresh veggies. This lunch wasn’t a hard sell. Luckily, one of Ben’s favorite food groups is
vegetables. They often disappear from
his plate first. He loves dipping whole
wheat crackers in his soup, then slurping up the rest. It was the perfect lunch our cold and snowy
weather.

Snow
This morning we traded in our cold weather for freshly fallen snow so I thought it would be appropriate to share one of our new favorite children's books...
Snow by Uri Shulevitz
Snowflakes keep coming and coming and coming,
circling and swirling,
spinning and twirling,
dancing, playing,
there, and there,
floating, floating through the air,
falling, falling everywhere.
